Ansgar Wegener is Director of Structural Biology and Biophysics in Research & Development at Merck Healthcare KGaA. Over more than two decades, he has driven biophysical and structural target research in various positions in early drug discovery across modalities. He has led cross-functional discovery project teams, implemented new technologies, and managed strategic collaborations. A chemist by training, he holds a Doctorate in Biophysics from the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology and the University of Dortmund.
