Taiana Maia De Oliveira

Taiana Maia de Oliveira is Director of Biophysics UK at AstraZeneca, where she leads the application of biophysical and structural biology approaches to support drug discovery and the understanding of challenging therapeutic targets. With a background spanning cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, protein science and molecular biophysics, Taiana brings extensive expertise in using high-resolution structural and mechanistic insights to inform the discovery and optimisation of novel medicines. She holds a PhD in Structural and Molecular Biology and has authored numerous publications across structural biology, protein–ligand interactions and drug discovery, with a particular focus on translating advanced biophysical technologies into actionable insights for pharmaceutical research.
